Optimistic Music: Optimistic first endeavored into the world of electronic dance music in the mid-nineties. The crew had been richly marinating in years of exposure to legendary warehouse scenes that thrived throughout San Francisco and Los Angeles. Just north of the Golden Gate, Optimistic Music began cultivating alternative events in their local hometown of Santa Rosa. They showered dance floors with rhythms and bass lines known to many club enthusiasts as house music. Optimistic events captured diverse elements that gathered a broad range of cultured people, a large sound system, and a beautifully decorated dance floor. After years of successful events, the boys decided to focus a bit more on the music and paused their production while moving down to Los Angeles to attend a recording arts school. While two crew members decided to move back to Sonoma County, a few stayed, dividing optimistic into a SF-LA based crew. This cross-pollination of cities has been fruitful on both ends, providing Optimistic with more facets in two of the heaviest hitting cities in America. Currently traveling up and down the west coast, Optimistic continues to progress as club DJ's with a home studio, churning up even more original material. Optimistic avenues gleam on break beat, hip-hop, dub, house, and funk. Each member's style diversifies through the countless sub-genres of electronic music and they continue to hold down weekly residencies at some of the finest clubs and lounges on the west coast.
