LeiRoy: LeiRoy (aka Jarrett Martin) collaborated with Optimistic in 2001 with a grittier note than the rest of the fella's. LeRoy's sound reflects that of a harder edged rock band meets electronic music. This was a pleasant addition to the crew in that it added a more aggressive punch to their sound. LeRoy was also inspired by the mid-ninety SF scene. His love for electronic music started predominately from the likes of DJ Doran and Fisherspooner. LeRoy's sets tend to involve what many would classify as experimental techno, hard-house or abract electronica. Carrying this sound requires extreme attention to the floor, considering the placement and timing of this style, which LeRoy does masterfully. In addition, when the crowd is ready to handle what LeRoy truly has to offer, he will drive their bodies to exhaustion. Now an LA resident, LeiRoy continues to stand cohort with Optimistic and continues to carefully study the rough neck beat that perks his ears. Back to All Artists
