Colby Tyler:

Colby Tyler got his introduction to dance music in Los Angeles in 1995 when massive warehouse party's were in full swing and catered to a hardcore scene. But after moving to San Francisco in 1997 Colby found himself submerged into small acid house parties that were flowering at the time from the like of Lightseed, Wicked and Come-unity. This is where he was then introduced to DJ Centipede and instantly connected to the art of Turntable'ism, a style of remixing records live by beat juggling and scratching.

Colby gained a reputation and started to land gigs all over the North Bay, ripping dance floors with a blend a hip-hop, funk and house. It wasn't until 2001 that Colby decided to return to LA to bestow the Hollywood scene with some unique rhythms.

Now residing at several clubs in the greater LA area, he's continues to rock crowds with a jazzy note, a funky beat and a wicked scratch. Continuing to evolve, his sound remains un-stagnate and shines in comparison to similar styled dj's. Whether house or hip-hop, Colby's sets will not find themselves without a "wiki" here or there... so if your in the club and hear something scratching... it's just Colby itching the record for you.
